Let's start with a review of Math from last year. Go through Lesson 1 which is a review of concepts from last year.
Remember the saying "Please My Dear Aunt Sally" as a reminder of the order of operations:
P = Parenthesis (Do the stuff in parenthesis first) then...
M & D = Multiplication & Division then...
A & S - Addition and Subtraction
You can also add to the Please My Dear Aunt Sally Lets Run because you need to do things
L = Left to ...
R = Right
When you get to page 6 on the Unit at A Glance worksheet do the problems and show all of your work EACH STEP OF ORDER OF OPERATIONS. Here is ta copy of it:
Remember Please My Dear Aunt Sally Let's Run!
Variable expressions are just that, substituting variables like:

Doing Some Catching Up
Math
Today we're going to work on two lessons, Comparing Decimals and Rounding. We've already reviewed the lessons and you're doing great. When you are done with each lesson take the assessment.
Remember the names of the symbols
LESS THAN symbol (10 < 100)
GREATER THAN symbol (100 > 10)
You can also remember that the pointy end points to the SMALL number.

Get your Student Guide, there is a list characteristics of the kinds of people who settled in this area. As you read pg 29-33 in a History of US Book 2 decide what group they belong to: POWHATANS, ENGLISH SETTLERS or BOTH.
